The new Photoshop

We’ll talk more about umbrella branding later, but for now I’d like you to take a few minutes and look over the reactions for Photoshop’s new logo:
- Photoshop gets a new logo
- John Nack writes about the Photoshop logo facelift
- Photoshop 2.0: The Wrong Kind of 2.0
What are your thoughts? Does it work? Is it needed?

Wow, this new design sure hit a lot of bad nerves. When I saw it, I really didn’t understand what it had to do with Adobe (the message behind it). Also, I agree that I would expect something more creative from such a creative product. A distinguished logo/slogan is a great idea; I just don’t think this is the best they could have made.

there where a lot of negative comments!! so I won’t add to them with one of my own…though that doesn’t mean I like it either… do you think its supposed to look like a thumbs down? (oops, I guess that just slipped out…)
I guess you cant be a huge success and NOT have a logo though right?

That is just plain ugly. Gross. Not sophisticated or nice at all.
